At first glance these two drills may not look very different but in fact they are. The Gen 5 series of drills have been impressive but this new octane hammer drill is beyond impressive!

It was able to power through this solid concrete block in 10.1 seconds opposed to its predecessor at 17.0 seconds. .

Stats are:
Gen5 brushless
Drillbit: 3/8" Cold start
Battery at 100%

Gen5 octane
Drillbit: 3/8" Hot start (drill bits are less effective when hot)
Battery at 90%

And with this information the new octane still beat out the gen5 with the handicap by 7 seconds.
